Join us for a special October screening of the terrifying horror film The Witch (2015, 1 hour, 32 minutes). Set in the 1630s, age-old concepts of witchcraft, black magic and possession are innovatively brought together to tell the intimate and riveting story of one family’s frightful unraveling in the New England wilderness. Directed by Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind The Lighthouse (screening at PEM on October 7), the film stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson and Kate Dickie.
