September 25 update: The City of Salem has canceled the Pedestrian Mall portion of Mayor’s Night Out due to high winds. Individual downtown businesses may still choose to hand out candy.
Old Town Hall is open! Trick-or-treaters can stop in for free candy starting at 5:30 PM, and the Food Court is serving until 7 PM at 32 Derby Square.
At the Old Town Hall Food Court:
- Crepe du Jour: sweet and savory French crepes
- La Frontera Sabrosa: Dominican and Puerto Rican favorites
- S Crop: tanghulu, fresh fruit in a crisp sugar shell
- Spitfire Tacos: tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas
- Three Hundred Fifty: cakes, cookies, dessert bars and seasonal sweets
Mayor’s Night Out is a Salem tradition created for local families—a community-first start to the Halloween season before the October crowds arrive. Presented by the City of Salem in partnership with Creative Collective, the evening brings Mayor Dominick Pangallo, community partners and downtown businesses together for family-friendly trick-or-treating on the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall.
Thank you to the National Park Service, Peabody Essex Museum, Mazow | McCullough, PC, Broad Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, 360 Fiesta and The Good Witch of Salem, who were all set to welcome families on the Pedestrian Mall this year.
