More Info
This tour follows a half-mile route in Salem’s downtown and will include some bumpy brick walkways.

Stops will include:

  • Bewitched Statue
  • Witch Trials Memorial
  • Crowninshield-Bentley House
  • Salem Common
  • Gardner-Pingree House
  • Old Town Hall

Children are welcome on the tour. Children under age 12 are free. Keep in mind there will be stops where the witch hysteria of 1692 will be discussed, which can include mention of Satan, executions, and some other violence. The point is not to dwell on the violence, but to talk about why it happened and why it still matters.
