Feral Fawn Art is a source of unique jewelry and art made by artist Emily Robertson in Boston, Massachusetts. Their affordable work uses semi precious materials and antique findings. It is influenced by Victorian, gothic, and art nouveau themes but retains a delicate and modern sensibility. Many of these pieces incorporate one of a kind vintage elements, including findings stamped from original dies that are over a hundred years old! The artist’s displays, which they consider to be very important to the feel of the work, convey the mood of a dark, mysterious forest. Price points for jewelry: $20 – $100, with most items being in the $20 – $40 range. In addition to jewelry, the artists also makes “Vanitas” – symbolic works of art showing the transience of life and the certainty of death. Each ‘Vanitas’ works combine real animal skulls in antique and elaborate frames, surrounded by clumps of richly green dried moss, and with crystals placed in the eyes or on other parts of the skull. The symbolism of an animal skull surrounded by moss evokes a forest floor claiming back death and returning it to new life. The artwork is framed in an elaborate manner to accentuate the beauty of this transition. Price points for Vanitas – $60 – $250. Emily Robertson has collaborated with their partner to introduce a line of highly curated, sustainable vintage clothing under the name “All the Rage Vintage”. They share a love of vintage fashion history and love to share our knowledge with new customers! Price points for clothing – $15 – $100, with most items being in the $20- $30 range.
