About Ancient Future Designs

Ancient Future Designs brings one-of-a-kind electroformed talisman jewelry to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace in Salem, Massachusetts. Quincy-based maker Jamie Lannan unites art and science, sealing genuine fossils — some millions of years old — raw crystals, and sacred symbols beneath layers of copper through the process of electroforming.

The collection spans copper-preserved pendants — from a moth set with glowing crystals to fossilized shark teeth edged in rich patina — alongside trays of handcrafted rings and sterling silver and brass adornments inspired by distant realms. True to the studio motto, “Adorn Your Temple,” no two talismans are ever alike.

Where Art Meets Science

Electroforming slowly builds a solid layer of copper over each natural specimen, eternally preserving ancient objects inside wearable metalwork. The result is jewelry that feels unearthed from a forgotten reliquary yet made for the future — pieces that connect the wearer to deep time and the mysteries of the natural world.
