Coffein Coffee Co. brings whole bean coffee with a distinctly gothic spirit to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace in Salem, Massachusetts. Established in 2022, the small-batch roaster packages 100% specialty grade Arabica coffee in coffin-shaped bags beneath a winged bat emblem and the tagline “Always Casketed, Never Cremated.”

The roast lineup leans into the season — Deathspresso espresso roast, Dark Soul Roast from Nicaragua Jinotega, Spirit Medium Roast from Mexico Chiapas Turquesa, Follow the Light Roast from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, and Decaffitated, a Colombia Supremo decaf. Signature Coffins of Coffein gift boxes lined in red satin turn a bag of beans into a coffee-bar centerpiece, and a portion of proceeds supports bat conservation.

Back at the Corner of Derby and Front

Coffein Coffee Co. returns to Derby Square after a previous Halloween season at the marketplace, where an L-shaped booth setup anchored the corner of Derby and Front Streets. Based in Clovis, California, the roastery crafts each roast in small batches from 100% Arabica beans — reliable fuel for a full October day of exploring Salem.
