About Hemlock Garden Nursery

Hemlock Garden Nursery brings hand-painted “reborn” art dolls to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace in Salem, Massachusetts. Artist Jen Abbe transforms small-batch vinyl kits from independent sculptors into one-of-a-kind creatures — werewolves, vampires, zombies, and elves — each painted, eyed, and haired entirely by hand.

No two dolls are alike. Every piece is finished detail by detail, from hand-set eyes to individually rooted hair, giving each critter a character all its own — equal parts beautiful and delightfully creepy.

A Booth Worth Seeking Out

Hemlock Garden Nursery is a one-day stop at Derby Square and a must-visit for collectors of oddities and original art dolls. Weather permitting, you may even find Jen tending her booth in full Victorian nanny attire — exactly the kind of detail that makes Salem’s Halloween marketplace unforgettable.
