About Knottie Purl

Knottie Purl brings one-of-a-kind handmade knitwear, crochet pieces, and upcycled fashion to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace in Salem, Massachusetts. Salem native Michelle Crosbie hand knits, crochets, or sews every piece herself, with no two items exactly alike.

The collection includes hats, headbands, and cowls made with hand-dyed merino wool; crocheted pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns; and patchwork witch hats, ghost pillows, jackets, hoodies, and jeans made with vintage quilts and secondhand fabrics.

Salem-Made, One Piece at a Time

Knottie Purl returns to Haunted Happenings with a cozy, colorful collection built around found materials rather than trends. Michelle’s Salem roots also give visitors a chance to connect with the city through a local maker whose work is designed and made here.
