About New England Horror Writers
New England Horror Writers brings horror books and anthologies to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace at Derby Square in Salem, Massachusetts. The organization is a creative, supportive writing community of roughly 650 members across the New England states, welcoming authors of every level, whether published or just starting out.
At the marketplace, the group shares its members’ horror titles and its yearly anthology — the 2026 theme is Wicked Westerns — along with a friendly invitation to anyone curious about writing in the genre. It is a natural stop for readers and writers during Salem’s Halloween season.
