Philomena’s Rising was created by accident in 2019 when Michelle began making jewelry to help heal from a brain surgery that resulted in her becoming disabled. We describe our work as bringing new life to old items. Many of our jewelry pieces are repurposed antique keys paired with crystals, gemstones, and pendants. Some of our jewelry is a combination of vintage jewelry (like earrings and pins) and antique keys or hand-picked crystals. We also handmake crystal jewelry using stainless steel and antique iron nails. Aside from necklaces, we also make crystal and gemstone rings and bracelets. This season we have also begun repurposing dolls into custom creatures and companions. In addition, our 8 year old daughter Harper sells her handmade creations which include her “Unburied Treasure” mystery boxes that she sold out of at Haunted Happenings in 2023!
