About The Bone Gardener
Aubrey Weber creates hand-drawn illustrations and natural bone assemblages that explore decay and renewal. Her work combines bones with decoupage, preserved flora, and fungi, drawing attention to the connections between animal forms and the plant life around them.
Illustrations and bone assemblages
The collection includes detailed drawings of skulls interwoven with mushrooms and branching roots, floral decoupage on skulls, and mounted pieces framed by preserved botanicals. Prints and shirts bring Aubrey’s illustrations into other formats. Her drawing process begins with close observation of natural forms, as shown in her ram-skull work in progress.
