About This & That Stained Glass

This & That Stained Glass creates handmade pieces inspired by nature, pop culture and art. Maker Tara Simons brings her stained glass to the Haunted Happenings Marketplace on Salem Common in Salem, Massachusetts, on October 10 and 31, 2026.

From a hand-drawn pattern to finished glass

Tara draws her own patterns and chooses each glass color and texture with light in mind. She cuts and grinds the glass, wraps the edges in copper foil, and solders the pieces together before cleaning, waxing and buffing the finished work. Some designs include copper foil overlays for additional detail.

Her submitted work includes a black-and-white cat, red apple and rose panels, and white flowers set against iridescent glass. Visit the booth to explore her current collection and ask about the process behind each piece.
